Log car series 13-401

Another print of my flatcar, this time with log-holding vertical braces. This time it seems I managed to make it print well and the model does not twist with age.

Tank car series 15-1443

The wagon is printed from this project: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/model-tsisterny-15-1443-rzhd-v-masshtabe-1-87-dlya-pechati-na-fdm-3d-printere It is designed for FDM process, and has some clever tricks for this technology, e.g. printing a piece flat on the bed and then bending it to form a support for round tank.

I printed major parts in FDM, but small pieces like railings needed to be redesigned for resin for better detalization. To hide layers on FDM-printed parts, a lot of filling, sanding and polishing had to be done.

Inside the tank is weight made of concrete (bought in a hardware store).

Gondola car series 12-1592

The gondola is printed from this project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2847015. The design is for FDM printers, so I printed large structural parts using FDM, but used my high-detail bogies and undercarriage details printed in resin. Actually I printed and assembled it in 2023, lately I only applied the decals to be able to call the project finished.

In general, the project is OK for FDM print, but is not really very detailed. The model lacks a lot of features like railings, steps, hinges and handles. I tried to add some details to undercarriage and front and end side of the wagon using my own pieces.
